Devonport Strikers coach Rick Coghlan has promised a thoroughly professional approach to their top versus bottom NPL Tasmania encounter against Clarence United on Saturday.
The Valley Road clash will welcome a visiting side that has conceded 35 goals in four games, including 13 last week against South Hobart, with the undefeated Strikers coming off a 2-0 away win to Riverside Olympic, to go with wins over Olympia, Launceston City and Glenorchy so far this season.
Coghlan on Thursday promised his side wouldn’t be “relaxing” on Saturday knowing they are coming up against a weaker opponent.
“We are obviously in a very good place and we are performing as well, so the general feeling is a positive one,” Coghlan said.
“Going into Clarence, it is just business as usual and we will just be focusing on ourselves and ensuring we put our best foot forward to come away with the result.
