The Devonport City Strikers Football Club acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which we gather and play, the palawa people, including the muwinina (also known as the Tasmanian Aborigines), the original inhabitants of the land now known as Devonport, Tasmania.

We pay our deep respects to the elders past, present, and emerging, and we recognize their continuing connection to this ancient land, its waters, and its culture.

As members of the Devonport City Strikers Football Club, we are committed to promoting understanding, respect, and appreciation for the rich history and traditions of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We strive to create a club environment that embraces diversity, celebrates cultural heritage, and fosters inclusivity and unity among all our players, coaches, staff, volunteers, supporters, and visitors.

On this sacred land, we stand together in the spirit of reconciliation, acknowledging the significance of truth, healing, and coming together to create a brighter and more harmonious future.

Today, and every day, we honor the palawa people and their ancestors, and we walk hand in hand as we build a strong, united community, guided by the principles of respect and recognition.
